About us
The focus for two decades was low temperature saltwater hydrotherapy, in particular the CryoSpa Sport Ice Bath, now the premier ice bath model across Europe and the Middle East. CET have supplied London 2012 Olympics, Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Qatar World Cup, Paris 2024 Olympics and many elite sports clubs including AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester City, Wembley and Wimbledon.
During Covid lockdown, managing director, Colin Edgar focused on increasing the ice bath range launching the CryoHome ice baths for home use.
Colin, also patented the revolutionary CoreTx palm cooling device which significantly delays fatigue and enhances performance. The CoreTx delivers benefits for elite sport and gym sectors.
Founded by Colin Edgar in 2002, CET designed a low temperature saltwater equine spa used for treating tendon and ligament injuries in horses. Over 5 years of treating injuries proved vital in developing the CryoSpa Ice Bath to maximise the therapeutic effect rather than simply removing the need for ice.
Key products and services
Building on five years of experience in treating soft tissue injuries in horses, CET’s flagship product, the CryoSpa Sport ice bath was designed to maximise the therapeutic effect while meeting all requirements for commercial use. The unique combination of depth, saltwater, massage effect from the jets and cooling by convection resulted in faster recovery post-exercise or post-injury.
As CET clients were initially all in the elite sports sector, including, for example, AC Milan, Bayern Munich and Manchester City, it was essential to fully comply with all EU & UK health & safety regulations including HSG282 which specifies skim filtration is essential to remove the 60% of pollutants in spas which float.
For the home and wellness sector, CET has designed the CryoHome Ice Bath Range. A series of premium, hand-crafted ice baths at a lower price point.
The CoreTx GO is the latest innovation from CET and is used by cooling the palms of the hand during the rest periods of workouts. Multiple scientific studies, including papers from Stanford University, have shown this simple, localised cooling causes incredible reductions in fatigue and significantly enhances performance. The device easily integrates into any gym and can be used by two people at once.
