Belvoir Fruit Farms is to re-launch its entire range of cordials as100 per cent natural.
The company has never used artificial colouring or sweeteners but it now plans to remove all preservatives too.
The re-launch will introduce completely new packaging and labelling as well, designed to reflect the products' home-made and authentic origins.
MD Pev Manners has chosen a bottle design resembling the original glass jars in which his mother stored her cordial. Four of the cordials will now be packaged in 70cl bottles, created to offer customers more for their money, and the premium varieties will now be in 50cl bottles, also offering better value.
The new hand-written labels are inspired by the notes taken over the decades by the lady who has hand-made all the Belvoir drink varieties for the last 20 years. They also - acknowledging, says the company, that the British feel more comfortable with pints than litres - carry an indication of how many pints a bottle of cordial will make.
The cordial range comprises Elderflower, Lime, Summer Berries, Ginger, Spiced Winter Berries, Passion Fruit & Mango, Gooseberry & Mint, and Rose & Raspberry with Pomegranate & Raspberry new for this year. Organic varieties are available in Elderflower, Blackcurrant, Ginger and Cranberry, with Blueberry new for this year.
Belvoir Pressés come in Elderflower, Cranberry, Ginger & Lime, Apple & Elderflower, Lime & Lemongrass and Summer Berries, with organic versions of Elderflower, Hand-made Lemonade and Ginger Beer.
The crush range, a blend of fresh pressed natural fruit and still Belvoir spring water sweetened with a touch of grape juice, includes Apple & Quince, Apple & Blackberry, Pear & Redcurrant and Rhubarb & Ginger
The new products will be available throughout the UK from June. Belvoir has also just won the Gold Award in the Taste of Britain Awards as the best soft drink in the country.
