Agoy's new Earth Mat is not only good to look at, it's also free of PVC, Phthalates, toluene, heavy metals, latex and natural rubber. And it's decomposable.
Available in either Ocean Blue or Chocolate Brown, the mat has a special surface pattern which is said to give it a superior grip.
Another plus is its structure, which gives not only great support but also means that the mat doesn't bottom out, reducing impact with the floor. Earth Mat doesn't absorb sweat and the natural characteristics of the material from which it is made prevent bacteria and fungal growth, so it's hygienic.too.
Being decomposable means that the mat will break down under high temperature and high pressure over a period of five to 10 years, releasing only carbon dioxide and water. If it's burnt, it is claimed to become 100 per cent CO2 and H2O.
Earth Mat measures 61cm x 183cm and is available in thicknesses of 3mm and 5mm.
