Sell the experience
27 Nov 2006 . BY
A new service designed to help the hotel industry respond to the British Tourism Authority's call to 'sell the experience' has been launched by production company, Alchemy Filmworks.

Intended to provide an insight for customers into the personal experience of staying in a particular luxury hotel, Alchemy creates short, eye-catching web-films (streaming video) which can be incorporated into a hotel's existing web-site. These films are said to give potential customers a much richer flavour of the total hotel experience than just text and photos.

The film can also be presented as a stand-alone DVD, or loaded onto a memory stick.

Director of Alchemy Filmworks Peter Fison says: “Selling the experience is something the British Tourism Authority sees as the way forward for the industry and our service is totally geared towards helping it to do just that.

“More than 96 per cent of travellers are now getting their information from the Internet and research has shown that sites with moving images generate five times more interest than those without.” For hotels with an international clientele, the company can offer multiple language versions for both DVD and web-film formats.
