Sharwood's is extending its comprehensive range of accompaniments with the launch of four new products.
Included are Fine Egg Noodles; Mini Puppodums and unique Spiced Puppodums, both hand-made in India; and Bengal Spice Mango Chutney.
With noodles currently one of the biggest growth categories within Asian cuisine - showing an increase of 7 per cent year on year - Fine Egg Noodles has been added for those consumers preferring thinner noodles to medium. They can be used in Chinese and other Far Eastern cuisines, in soups and salads, and in wraps, snacks and garnishes.
Fine Egg Noodles are available in 3kg packs containing 48 individual portions and Sharwood's also offers Medium Egg Noodles in 3kg and 6kg formats.
The company's new Spiced Puppodums line comes in mixed boxes of Chilli, Black Pepper and Masala. They are accompanied by the launch of Mini Puppodums, designed to give chefs a cost effective way of portioning. As with Sharwood's plain Puppodums, both additions are sourced direct from India and use traditional ingredients. Both varieties are available in 1kg boxes.
The introduction of Bengal Spice Mango Chutney is a move to capitalise on the success of Sharwood's Green Label Chutney. It's a spicier alternative delivering a classic mango chutney mixed with warm, rich spices. Although primarily associated with Indian cuisine, Sharwood's Bengal Chutney can also be used on pizzas, sandwiches and platters. Available in 2.6kg jars, it delivers 130 portions and is low in fat.
As with the rest of the Sharwood's range, all the new accompaniments are free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.
