James and the Red Balloon will be located in the heart of Thomas Land, Europe’s only Thomas & Friends themed attraction. The ride, which is set to be unveiled on April 1 2017, is based on an episode from the television series. It will feature beloved Thomas character James and will take riders on an aerial adventure in their own balloons. The ride reaches a height of 1.5 metres and travels at a speed of 5.5 RPM, so is suitable for families and younger riders. It will offer riders views of Thomas Land and the rest of Drayton Manor.
