Active Nation completes revamp of Birchwood leisure centre
POSTED 08 Nov 2018 . BY Tom Walker
Leisure operator Active Nation has completed a £1.5m redevelopment of a leisure centre in Birchwood, Lincolnshire.

The reopened Active Nation Birchwood has been transformed from an outdated, underused facility to a community health and wellbeing hub.

The 12-month revamp was completed in partnership with The City of Lincoln Council.

Facilities now include a health club with an 80-station gym floor, a Les Mills immersive indoor cycling studio – one of only seven in the UK – and group exercise studio.

The existing sports hall has also been converted and now includes a 16-station indoor climbing wall and soft play area.

“Active Nation Birchwood has been through an incredible transformation over the last 12 months, reinventing itself from an outdated leisure centre and social club to a state-of-the-art venue," said Stuart Martin, MD of Active Nation.
