High-end spa equipment manufacturer Gharieni Group has launched an in-house spa consultancy division to support all its partners, offering services such as space planning, renderings and access to the suppliers’ worldwide contacts.

Founded by Sammy Gharieni in 1992 in Duisburg, Germany, the manufacturing company was initially focused on beauty and medical equipment. Over the last ten years the spa and beauty sections of the business have taken a front seat, which has led to the creation of this new spa consultancy branch.

“More and more people have been asking me, as a manufacturer, if I can do consultancy,” Gharieni told Spa Opportunities at SPATEC Europe. “I like working with customers and I want to help them by putting projects together piece by piece. It’s about understanding the client after having listened to them. The plan must always be adapted to the client’s wishes and we are perfectly positioned to do this.”

Renowned for its massage therapy beds, furniture and numerous hydrotherapy and heat therapy equipment innovations, Gharieni Group distributes to 60 countries worldwide.

“Gharieni Group, as well as its global contacts such as consultants, architects and other partners, will be brought together so that customers can be supported in their planning from the basic plan stage or for the redevelopment of an existing spa,” said a statement from Gharieni Group.

Sammy Gharieni thinks there is room in the market for his company to consult on all areas of a spa’s planning up to the opening stage: “I don’t want to compete with other consultancies because I don’t want to operate spas. We are a manufacturing company and we aren’t interested in operation.”

The Gharieni Group has companies in southern Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Dubai.
