The attractions industry made its presence known at Leisure Industry Week, held at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, to showcase its latest products and innovations, share ideas and sign lucrative contracts.

BALPPA was on hand to provide play and attractions professionals visiting the event with a range of education seminars and network opportunities, with yesterday’s sessions including talks on PR management in a disaster and drawing in crowds through effective content management, as well as an exclusive BALPPA reception held at the nearby Drayton Manor theme park.

More than 50 representatives from the attractions industry showcased their products to the thousands in attendance at the event, with the likes of Meticulous, Arihant and Innovative Leisure showing off new innovations and products.

LIW continues this week, running today (1 October) and ending tomorrow (2 October), with the chance for networking in the BALPPA lounge on the exhibition floor. Sessions today include talks from James Sinclair “The Millionaire Clown”, an interactive session hosted by Indoor Play’s Neil Scott on innovations in the FEC sector and a session on using marketing to differentiate your business and to deliver increased profits.
