TRIB3 appoints chief financial officer as part of growth strategy
POSTED 19 Jul 2017 . BY Deven Pamben
Sheffield-based boutique gym TRIB3 has appointed a chief financial officer as the company expands into mainland Europe and beyond.

Joaquín Gali, the former chief executive of Eurona Telecom, will be dealing directly with the expansion of TRIB3 in Spain and other locations.

The appointment comes after TRIB3 recruited Rod Hill as European managing director in March and Michel Parada as its managing director for France in May.

With three sites in Sheffield, and Leeds and Manchester operations to come, the brand is also launching in Moscow, Russia, this summer, as well as Spains' Barcelona and Madrid and Paris, France, later this year.

On joining the company, Gali said: “As we grow we are looking for local partners who know their own fitness market.

“And although we want to develop corporate centres in all countries, a key feature of our growth has to be based on franchising.”

In addition to his post with Eurona Telecom between 2012 and 2015, Gali has been a member of the board of directors of investment company Winreit 88, eCM Financial Advisory, and manufacturer Alter Software.

Kevin Yates, TRIB3 chief executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Joaquin to the team and know that, even though this his first foray into fitness, his years of experience in other fields will prove invaluable.

“With more than 15 franchisees already signed up to take a TRIB3 store, our main goal is to secure the European market and Joaquin will be working closely with our European managing director Rod Hill to make that vision a reality.”

The TRIB3 high intensity interval training (HIIT) workout is based around treadmills (cardio), resistance (weights) and intensity (heart rate), and sessions can burn up to 1,000 calories.
