American architectural practice Cooper Robertson have made a swathe of in-house promotions, including the appointment of a new director of architecture.
The architects, noted for their museum and cultural work, have name Erin Flynn as director of architecture.
Flynn has an extensive 20-year background in cultural and museum architecture as a project leader on notable commissions such as the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Fowler Museum at UCLA Planning Study, the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York and most recently,
Gateway Arch Museum in St. Louis.
In her new role, Flynn will manage quality control and systems research, develop and advance the implementation of building technology in the firm’s work, and ensure best practices in design and management of projects.
Another notable promotion within the practice is that of Jonathan Pietro to senior associate.
Pietro has experience working on a wide range of library, school and housing projects.
Since joining Cooper Robertson, however, he has worked on projects such as the Studio Museum in Harlem, New York, The New York Botanical Garden, the Gateway Arch Museum in St. Louis and the Hammer Museum at the University of California.
