Mii amo, an Arizona destination spa set within Sedona’s Boynton Canyon, is under new leadership following the appointment of Christian Davies as general manager.

Davies brings more than two decades of industry experience to the newly revamped property which has also recently become a Relais & Châteaux destination.

Along with managing the day-to-day operations of the all-inclusive luxury resort, Davies oversees the sales and marketing departments, as well as the management of Mii amo’s mindfulness team and newly welcomed team members.

“I’m thrilled to be at the helm of an iconic destination spa that has paved the way for how we approach wellbeing for more than 20 years,” he said.

“I look forward to tapping into the spirit of the Canyon and further enhancing our one-of-a-kind Journey experience for both the tried and true Mii amo guest, as well as the next generation.”

The Mii amo team says Davies is a highly-accomplished leader with a proven track record in the spa space.

Raised in a family-run hotel in his seaside hometown of Aberystwyth in Wales, Davies’ upbringing was rooted in the values of hospitality, eventually serving as the foundation for a long-standing tenure with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.

His previous roles involved the opening of 12 global spas under Marriott International, including The Miami Beach EDITION, Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in San Jose del Cabo, and The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage.

Davies also served as assistant spa director for the reopening and expansion of The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island’s 30,000 sq ft spa and represented the US North-East region as spa advisory council member.

Most recently, Davies was director of spa and wellness at The Peninsula New York.
