The Little Nell, a five-star Relais & Chateaux hotel in Aspen, Colorado, has breathed new life into its spa, drawing inspiration from Aspen’s passion for a holistic lifestyle.

Set at the base of Aspen Mountain, The Spa at The Little Nell has been conceived to offer a haven for both relaxation and recovery, catering to the resort town’s abundance of winter sports enthusiasts.

The 92-key hotel’s team says the vision for the ski-in/ski-out spa and its new fitness centre is deeply rooted in the Aspen Idea – a holistic lifestyle philosophy that “celebrates the life-affirming pleasure found in active pursuits, the feel-good effects of Mother Nature, and the integration of mind, body and spirit”.

Designed by Luis Bustamante Interior Design of Madrid, Spain, the spa was conceived with the help of spa consultancy TLEE Spas + Wellness.

"We’re thrilled to introduce The Spa at The Little Nell, a harmonious blend of luxury and wellness, in an artful and intimate setting,” said Henning Rahm, GM of The Little Nell.

“It truly stands apart from other spas with the focus on traditional and holistic treatments and cutting-edge technologies.”

Designed to provide guests with both performance enhancement and rejuvenation, the spa menu comprises three therapeutic pathways, Recover + Repair, Replenish + Restore, and Reset + Rebalance.

Treatment partners include Dr. Barbara Sturm, ISUN and Seed to Skin Tuscany whose organic line of amenities will also be in all suites and hotel rooms at The Little Nell.

The Spa at The Little Nell is home to three treatment suites – each equipped with a private changing room and steam shower.

Two boast a hybrid infrared sauna with halotherapy and a dedicated resting area while one is equipped with dual treatment tables.

A separate guest changing area with a restroom, vanity and steam shower is also available.

The spa renovation also encompasses a foyer, speakeasy and restrooms.

Activity and fitness
Situated next to the spa is a new fitness centre equipped with Woodway treadmills, Peloton cycles, Technogym weight machines, a functional training station from TRX and ample space for free movement and self-directed workouts.

Personal trainers work on call and are available for private bookings upon request.
