Nirah appoints Arsenal MD as chair
POSTED 09 May 2007 . BY
The board of Nirah – the multi-million pound aquarium complex being planned for Stewartby, Bedfordshire – has appointed Arsenal’s managing director, Keith Edelman, as a non-executive director and chair designate.

Edelman will succeed current chair Peter May, who will become deputy chair, as soon as the project receives outline planning.

“I have known Keith nearly 20 years and we are delighted that someone of his extensive experience is joining the Nirah board,” said May. “This is a £400m project. Keith’s experience of leisure, brand development and the successful build of the Emirates Stadium will prove an invaluable asset.”

May also added that the board expects to receive planning permission this summer.
