Didcot town centre in line for £125m revamp

South Oxfordshire District Council (SODC) and developer Hammerson have signed a new agreement for a £125m overhaul of Didcot town centre.

The Orchard Centre phase two deal will lead to the construction of a new retail complex and other amenities next to the existing Orchard Centre shopping centre.

Restaurants, cafés and civic spaces are proposed as part of the 200,000sq ft (18,581sq m) development, which aims to improve the town centre for residents and visitors alike.
