Oxygen Freejumping springs forward with plans for second site

The debut site in West Acton, London, has made a big impression
Trampolining company Oxygen Freejumping has announced that its second venue will open at a retail park in Southampton in December.

The debut site for Oxygen Freejumping – which has been set up by ex-ukactive CEO David Stalker and LA fitness founder Fred Turok – launched in London in July and has attracted a blaze of publicity, with even David Beckham popping down for a bounce.

The new 20,000sq ft (1,858sq m) facility in Southampton will feature more than 150 connected trampolines to facilitate a wide range of activities. There will also be dodgeball courts and an obstacle course; fitness classes in the park and on rebounders in the fitness studio; a professional trampolining academy for aspiring gymnasts; as well as ‘Teen Takeovers’ which include two hours of strobe-lit bouncing with a live DJ. The site will also contain a Sébastien Foucan-helmed Freerunning Academy that will give children and adults the opportunity to experience Parkour.

“Oxygen is the first brand of its kind in the UK and each Oxygen Park will ensure the highest standards of quality and service,” said Stalker, who aims to open a further five sites in the next 12 months, with a further 14 in the pipeline.

“We’re excited to be opening our second Park in Southampton and we’re looking forward to seeing local people discover just how much fun they can have jumping!”

Financial and professional services firm, JLL, which previously assisted Oxygen Freejumping in the acquisition of its debut site in West Acton, was also on hand to advise in the procurement of the new Southampton venue.
