Oxygen Freejumping bounds ahead with fresh sites

The debut Oxygen site in West Acton, London, has made a big impression
Oxygen Freejumping has announced plans to bring the bounce to Leeds this summer with a new £1.5m site in the city’s Cardigan Fields Leisure Park.

Oxygen has signed a 15-year lease on a 23,000sq ft (2,136sq m) unit, which will be the operator’s eighth site in the UK. The company is aiming to reach 30 parks by the end of 2017, following a recent £10m investment from Beechbrook Capital and existing investors.

The trampolining business – set up by ex-ukactive CEO David Stalker and LA fitness founder Fred Turok, with backing from leisure veteran Steve Philpott – currently has two locations and recently signed a deal with Lucozade Powerleague to open five more sites this summer.

“We are currently fitting out five further parks in the North of England and are delighted to add Leeds to these plans,” said Stalker, who added that a new site in the South East is also close to being announced.

“Having signed a deal with Lucozade Powerleague for sites in Derby, Wigan, Blackburn, North Shields and Trafford Park, Manchester early this year, Leeds was a key destination on our wish list.”
