Active IQ has been declared the winner of the Innovation of the Year Award at the FAB 2018 Awards, organised by the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB).

Active IQ won the award for its new Flair for Fitness app, developed by Train Me.

Flair for Fitness is a platform which Active IQ successfully implemented for learners on its Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 fitness, personal trainer and advanced PT qualifications.

“We take pride in the fact our efforts in seeking new and better ways to train and assess people has been recognised by an industry award,” says Jenny Patrickson, Active IQ managing director.

John Mooren, CEO at Train Me Fitness, added: “We are very proud to see our Flair for Fitness App win this Award.

“We worked very closely with Active IQ to adapt and fine-tune the App to suit its precise assessment and training needs. We believe this innovation will support PTs and fitness professionals as they train and work in the industry and Active IQ winning this Award is a validation of our shared belief in its potential.”

The FAB 2018 Awards recognise the contributions made by awarding organisations and their employees to education and skills in the UK over the past year.

The winners were announced at the FAB 2018 Awards dinner on 18 October.
