The move is designed to create a global industry leader in sports data and performance analytics.

Highlights of the agreement include Nice, France-based SUP acquiring 100 per cent of Prozone from Sky Blue Sports and Leisure; Prozone continuing to provide performance analysis services to its professional client base, which includes Manchester United FC, FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC, New York Red Bulls and Arsenal FC; and SUP, through its Amisco tracking technology brand, continuing to provide the same services to clients Chelsea FC, SC Lille, FC Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Canal+.

Prozone and Amisco will use their combined expertise to develop new products and services aimed at enhancing performance analysis in professional sport and New Media applications.

Clients are expected to benefit from the new combined databases of global match data, further enhancing the player recruitment process.

The new business will operate from offices in the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, North America, South America and Asia.
