Square Pie says that a Pie Drive is an Australian concept adapted by them with the aim of getting groups of people together for special pie days in the office, sports club or at home, to combine the pleasures of pie eating with raising money for charity. The event will take place across London from 4 - 7 April.

The company will deliver groups their choice of hot pie, mash and peas and all profits will be shared between Great Ormond Street Hospital and the Make a Wish Children's Foundation.

Drives will be run from Square Pie outlets in Selfridges, Canary Wharf and Spitalfields Market in London and bars that stock the pies - The Social, Legion, Loch Tavern and Defectors Weld - will also donate all profits on pie sales for one day to the charities.

Virgin Atlantic - whose Upper Class serves Square Pies - has donated two return flights to New York to be won through a prize draw.
