Provided in the UK by Environment Waste Infrastructure (EWI) Associates, BioAktiv Water is an oxygenised pulverised calcium that when mixed with fresh water and sprayed onto an algae infected pond or lake, is designed to revitalise the pond or lake.

This is achieved because the pulverised calcium changes the pH value of the water, causing the algae to disappear.

The change to clear water is said to take around six weeks although it may take a little longer for larger lakes where more than one application is sometimes necessary.

For the lake at the 16th at Kibworth (pictured), 3kg of the BioAktiv water product was mixed into 300 litres of water and sprayed onto the surface of the water.
