It features eight digital cameras held in a fixed frame, each of the cameras having two trigger modes. In the first trigger mode the cameras fire in sequence to allow action to be captured. In the second trigger mode the cameras fire together to capture live action in 3D. At the heart of the Facestation system is the 3D Processing Suite and this integrates all the photographs into a final composite 3D portrait. The Facestation 3D Printing Unit creates high quality medium format (8x10in / 20x30cm) prints and the whole process typically takes under three minutes from start to finish. The system can be operated with less than three hours training and is fully integrated - data in, photo out. As a standalone system the company says it is ideal for either 'in the field' commissions or in fixed premises such as attractions, leisure sites and shopping malls.
