From January 2007, an EU Directive designed to protect the environment comes into place under which all emissions from water-borne floor coatings must be below 140 grams per litre. At less than 90 grams per litre, the entire Granwax water-borne range comes well below that. The products, which took over two years to develop, have been re-formulated using raw materials based on renewable resources such as vegetable oil. Improvements to the company's Classical, Masterfinish, Granfinish and Aquathane ranges have produced finishes with extremely low odour, low-emissions and improved levelling capabilities. The products retain their original benefits of ease of application, durability and a ready-to-use time of 12 hours. The re-formulation also provided Granwax with the opportunity of re-branding its corporate identity, with a new logo and packaging.
