45 Commando Royal Marines have just taken delivery of their second Circuit Gym, this time to take with them to Afghanistan.
They bought their first at the end of last year and it is reported to have proved an outstanding success, hence the decision to get another. The second one will form a key part of the Arbroath-based unit's remedial and rehabilitation programs during their time away. Its major advantages for them are its versatility - for rehabilitation, CV or strength - and robustness.
Elsewhere, the Fitness Finesse gym in Bradford has also recently bought a Circuit Gym and use it extensively in their GP referral, youth and personal programmes.
Designer Alasdair Henderson is absolutely delighted with the responses from customers, commenting: “It has been a risk to step away from complexity and technology and go back to the basics of exercise. I am pleased to say that the tributes from users prove that this is what many people want”.
A bodyweight exercise system, Circuit Gym provides an 'all body part' workout for the upper body, legs, abdominals and lower back.
Taking up a floor space of 195cm x 140cm/6ft 5in x 4ft 7in approx, the Standard version is just under 235cm/7ft 8in high and the Compact option 205cm/6ft 8in.
