October saw the launch by Figgjo of an addition to its Front series of chinaware called Figgjo Bonsai.
Transferring to chinaware the design elements from other materials such as paper and wood, Bonsai is said to have an oriental inspiration with a Scandinavian approach.
In the slope of the largest piece it is possible to place a spear or cutlery, suggestions for use being dressings, jam or other side dishes in correlation with a buffet. The product is 12cm x 12cm with a height of 8 cm and can hold 50cl.
The second item is 12cm x 8cm, stands 3cm tall, can hold 17.5cl and with a more subtle slope to the sides gives the option of resting cutlery on it. It can also be used as a portion plate for meat spread, assorted chocolates and other side dishes.
The smallest of the three products is 6cm x 6cm with a height of 5cm and holds 7.5cl. This square product is great for displaying condiments such as salt, oils and soy sauce.
Other new developments from Figgjo see the introduction of two smaller sizes to its Figgjo Sval range. A plate/bowl design, the new sizes measure 30cm and 21cm in diameter and hold 250cl and 100cl respectively.
The Figgjo Arena range is also expanded with the existing oval Arena Form series being added to by a new smaller - 12.5cm x 7.6cm x 17.5cl - size. In addition, a new group of Arena Forms has been developed with one end shaped into a point, making it ideal for pouring sauces. Mainly developed as buffet products but also suitable for various side dishes, there are three sizes available - 100cl, 30cl and 10cl.
