Now available from Medicon Distribution is its Sismo Fitness vibrating and oscillating platform.
The company's range includes the Pro and Beauty models, with the Elite new for 2007.
The series is designed to help burn fat on the hips, thighs, waist and abdomen but can also support overall fitness by being used for aerobic exercise.
Combining the techniques of vibrotony and sismotony, which together make up oscillomology, Sismo Fitness machines are said to differ from other vibration devices in that the system's unique oscillating platform allows it to be used at both very low frequencies - for older people or for accurate rehabilitation treatment - and at high frequencies to assist with aerobic exercise, but without vibrations to the head.
The system features Digital, Analog and Auto modes - each with preset speed and time - which can be used to burn fat and develop lean muscle mass. During aerobic exercise, both speed and time can be set, the former up to 40Hz in 1Hz increments.
The machines are claimed to not only assist in preventing obesity, but can also be used to prevent ageing and the muscular degeneration due to illness, as well as helping patients suffering from paralysis caused by accidents and those weakened by long-term hospitalisation.
Medicon Distribution is currently seeking distributors for the Sismo Fitness range.
