The company was demonstrating a unique floor projection system, which was mounted at the entrance and exit of the show, making it the first and last thing which was seen by visitors. Called the 'Living Surface', the system offers an interactive video projection package, which can be placed to project on floor or wall surfaces and be interacted with. For the LIW event, OMI created a special animated presentation to demonstrate the way that this technology can be used to promote services or events incorporating brand images within the interactive animations. As an example of the interactivity, people stepping through what appeared to be a pool of water saw the fish contained within it swim away from their feet. The technology involved is exclusive to OMI and is the next step in the development of interactive signage and presentation media for application in museum, family entertainment, visitor attraction and retail venues.
