Showing at Hospitality 2007 earlier this year and to be appearing at The Restaurant Show in October, The Cutlery Polisher Company produces a selection of machines suitable for a wide range of operations.
The machines work by accepting clean, wet cutlery straight from a dishwasher. The cutlery is then drawn through a special dry granulate to remove all the water and watermarks, whilst polishing it to a high shine. It is then passed through a UV light to kill any bacteria.
Three models are available, the smallest being the tabletop Mini 3000 which is said to be ideal for a restaurant seating between 50-200 guests. It has a throughput of 2000 pieces of silver cutlery per hour or 3000 of stainless steel. An optional trolley and tray support can be added.
Next is the floor-standing Midi 7000, for venues seating between 200-400 guests and with a throughput of 6000 and 7000 pieces of silver and stainless steel cutlery per hour respectively.
Finally, the Maxi 10000 can handle 8000 pieces of silver cutlery per hour, or 9000 of stainless steel, and is claimed to be suited to very large catering establishments seating over 400 guests.
Existing clients of the company include the Hyatt Hotel chain, Frankie & Benny's and Hardy & Hansons restaurants, and the Whitbread group of hospitality venues.
