An innovation from Audience Systems helps venues with sports floors to more easily accommodate mobile retractable seating units, by reducing the need for floor reinforcement.
Northumbria University’s impressive sports arena opened last year and Audience Systems supplied a combination of fixed seating, removable chairs and retractable seating, creating a flexible multipurpose space.
The company has just returned to the venue to fit a new 'air hover' system for moving the retractable units around.
Operators simply plug the units' transport trucks into an airline, allowing the seating to be moved with minimum manual handling and without the need for floor reinforcement along its route.
The system can be retrofitted simply to existing retractable seating systems.
