Digital health tech specialist Onitor used CES to introduce an innovative biometric data-driven device designed to aid weight loss. Onitor Track can be worn in two different ways, either strapped to the user’s wrist or clipped onto a chest band (or sports bra) during exercise.
As well as a traditional tracker, in the clipped position the device transforms into an ECG heart rate monitor. Onitor Track digests combined data recorded from both modes, along with weekly weight inputs from the user, to create an exercise programme and offer nutritional advice, both of which constantly adapt to the user’s progress.
“We live in a data-driven, digital age – but when you look at the ways people are encouraged to lose weight, they’re still using old-fashioned methods with a very limited use of data to help them,” says Amit Ben-Haim, creator of the Onitor brand.
“That’s where we think the Onitor Track can help. Accurate data capture helps build an excellent picture of each user, while smart manipulation of that data allows it to create fitness and nutritional programmes that are constantly refined to deliver results.”
