Air is first sucked into the new UV-Totem and passes through a filter to purify it and then UV-C technology is used further clean the air and “inhibit the reproduction and proliferation of harmful agents”. Nilo CEO Elena Maletti says. “Spas have faced difficult months because of COVID-19. But now they’re back and Nilo is ready to support them by guaranteeing a safe and clean environment.” The look of the totem can be customised and can stand on the floor or be hung on the wall. In other news, Maletti has also created Kubetto, which uses a disinfectant to quickly clean the soles of shoes, and Ecosteam, a portable device that produces steam of up to 100˚C to sanitise surfaces and materials that can’t be treated with chemical products.
