The Davines group, together with skincare brands Comfort Zone and Skin Regimen, has introduced its sustainability results achieved in 2019 and outlined the new goals for 2020.

This year’s report marks an important milestone for the company, as 2020 is the first year the report has shifted from paper to digital and is now only published in an online format.

According to the group, this is an important step for the company to minimise its carbon footprint as well as continuing to spread the culture of sustainability between partners and consumers.

In addition to details of the group’s main sustainability projects and initiatives guided by the UN’s SDGs, the report outlines three main performance sections – People, Planet and Community

Each section has unique goals and explains how the company met these in 2019.

Some of the most notable achievements from 2019 include 95 per cent of executives and top managers committing to sustainability goals, as well as the company offsetting CO2 levels from major company events and staff commuting in Parma, on top of the overall CO2 product offsetting.

Moreover, the company received a renewal of its B Corp certification with a score increase to 117/200, testifying to the group’s true commitment to these themes.

With regards to the new objectives for the 2020 year, the group is focusing on getting closer to its net-zero emission goal by 2030.

Davines Group president, Davide Bollati shared his vision: "I’m convinced that an important commitment during the transition to a green economy or, even better, to a regenerative economy, is not necessarily the solution to all our problems, but is the best strategy for our species, if we want to maintain and improve quality of life".
