A Really Sensible red alert

The Really Sensible Trading Company, sole UK importer of thermal drinkware from American manufacturer, Planetary Design, is introducing a range of thermal cafetieres in vibrant red at Hotelympia 2008.

In all, three of the company’s cafetieres are available in the new colour - the Double Shot, the Desk Press and the 20oz Table Top Wide Base model.

The products are made from high grade stainless steel with a double wall construction for keeping coffee hot for longer. Said to be virtually indestructible in normal use, they don't smear and are top-shelf dishwasher-proof.

The smallest of three models in the company’s Table Top range, the 20oz Wide Base version is suited for table service in restaurants and cafe bars. It holds three or four cups of coffee and is equipped with a tactile pistol grip and non-slip rubber base.

The Double Shot is ideal for travellers, commuters and people who take their coffee 'to go'. It can be filled up before leaving home or topped up at a local coffee shop en route. There’s also a special compartment in the base that holds a second serving of coffee, which is where the model gets its name from.

Another logically named variant is the Desk Press, ideal for the office environment. Using a patented double filtration system, coffee can be drunk straight from it rather than having to be poured into a mug or cup.

In addition to red the range is offered in a variety of other finishes. Black and brushed metallic chrome are more traditional but a selection of contemporary enamelled colours such as Mango, Iris, Wasabi Green and Cornflower Blue , are also available.
