South Wales-based Rafiki has formally launched its Quadnet fire detection system.
The new system incorporates a four-loop panel with each loop able to carry up to 200 devices with built-in sounders.
Rafiki uses key switches for essential fire controls, zonal indication to indicate the source of a fire, and a simple set of navigation keys on mobile phone technology lines designed to allow access to more advanced and engineering functions.
There is a large display to show all relevant information at every level.
Up to 250 Quadnet network protocol compatible units may be connected into a single network. These can include Quadnet repeaters, LCD repeaters, Twinflex control panels and printers.
A variety of different types of devices can be linked to the system including smoke detectors, heat detectors, sounders, flash points, call points and alarm bells.
The Quadnet control panel enclosure is designed to be aesthetically pleasing in any commercial setting and comes in a standard black high gloss finish with over 100 different front panel finishes available including brushed aluminium, walnut and marble.
The power supply unit can also be remotely sited making the whole system as unobtrusive as possible.
The system has been designed for large commercial applications such as hotels, airports, public sector buildings, offices, hospitals and universities.
