IHRSA in March saw the debut of RealRyder™ International's ABF7 'unstationary' indoor bike.
The machine gets its designation from the patent-pending technology which drives it, a series of linkages and pivots known as the Articulating Bicycle Frame (ABF) .
This lets the rider move in three dimensions, sustaining a high pedal stroke whilst at the same time controlling the bike's lateral, vertical and longitudinal axis rotation.
Having thus turned an indoor bike into one which steers, turns and feels like a road bike, the ABF system is claimed to replicate the experience of riding one as well, providing a whole body workout which incorporates legs, cardio, upper body, core muscle groups and balance.
Suitable for both elite cyclists and group cycling enthusiasts, the RealRyder ABF7 comes with a silver and black frame, black shrouding and a polished flywheel, weighs in at 220lbs/100kg and features two integrated water bottle holders.
