Said to be the catalyst for the American Pale Ale style of beer, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is now available in the UK.

Vertical Drinks of Leeds has been established as Sierra Nevada's UK and European importer and distributor and it was first introduced to the on- and off-trade in November. Distribution is now being extended to a wider market.

The beer ? produced at the company's Chico, California, brewery ? was originally modelled on British pale ales but is claimed to be much more aromatic with more hop flavour and less bitterness.
