Branded ‘Hydro-Teslatron’, the $6m attraction is a video and light-animated water feature which provides an 8-minute show commemorating the invention of hydroelectric power.

The attraction is named for Nikola Tesla, who worked with Westinghouse in the late-1800’s to harness the energy of Niagara Falls for generating electricity, and features a 45ft tall fountain with cascading weirs and funnels which turn into a display of electrical energy.

The show sees the water volume get turned up and appear to grow out of control, LED panels glowing a fiery red and electrical charges appearing to shoot through faux power transmission cables.

Incorporated into the project’s construction were two million feet of fibre optics and more than 760,000 LEDs.

The resort itself, a $1bn casino and entertainment complex developed by Falls Management Company and the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission, opened in June.
