Next Generation heads for Dubai Sport City
POSTED 19 Apr 2005 . BY
Next Generation Clubs has revealed plans to build a health and fitness club in Dubai in 2006, with the opening planned for 2007.

The project is being undertaken by Next Generation Clubs Australia, lead by non-executive director David Lloyd, in conjunction with Dubai Sport City, which is funding the project.

Due for completion in 2008, the aim of the Dubai Sport City complex is to provide world-class sporting facilities covering a wide range of activities as well as the capacity to host international sporting events. Extensive accommodation is also planned, resulting in what will be a new city.

To complement this, Dubai Sport City also aims to provide world-class training facilities to allow professional athletes to train all year round. This will include the Next Generation Club, which will provide a similar mix of facilities to those found in the UK and Australia, including a David Lloyd Tennis Academy.

Dubai Sport City will pay Next Generation Clubs for its design, planning and management expertise and Next Generation Clubs will receive an ongoing management fee for its services.
