Rides.nl Award winners announced
POSTED 16 Oct 2006 . BY
Rides.nl, the Netherlands-based theme park-dedicated website, has announced the winners of its second annual awards.

Bobbejaanland in Lichtaart, Belgium, won the award for Most Innovative Park for the second year in a row, while the Black Mamba at Phantasialand in Germany won the award for best ride.

The winners were chosen by the website’s members and more than a thousand people cast their votes during the one-month polling period.

Bobbejaanland installed two new attractions this year: Desperado City, an interactive virtual reality game and the Dreamcatcher rollercoaster.

The Black Mamba inverted rollercoaster, which was part of a 22m euro (£15m, US$27.5m) investment at Phantasialand, received more than 45 per cent of the votes.

De Efteling in the Netherlands won the awards for Best Website and Best Value for Money and Disneyland Paris received the award for Best Entertainment. Details: www.rides.nl
