The new dinner show experience on the Gold Coast, Warner Village Theme Park’s AUS$23m (£9.3m, 13.8m euro, US$17.7m) Australian Outback Spectacular, has won the New Tourism Development category at the Queensland Tourism Awards.

Chief operating officer for Warner Village Theme Parks, Steve Peet, said: “Warner Village Theme Parks is thrilled to accept this award for our newest attraction, which has surpassed our highest expectations.

“Audiences wanted to experience a unique and spectacular insight into the present day culture of Outback Australia and we believe the show delivers all this and more.

“Warner Village Theme Parks is dedicated to the growth of tourism on the Gold Coast and reinforcing the region’s position as the number one holiday destination in Australia. Offering unique experiences such as Australian Outback Spectacular increases the appeal of the Gold Coast to the domestic and international markets.”

The Australian Outback Spectacular is set in an enclosed arena and features a one and a half hour show with audio and visual effects. The production incorporates up to 40 horses, favourite Australian animals and skilled stockmen and women, as well as three-course Australian BBQ dinner.
