Sea World Eye set to open on Gold Coast
POSTED 23 Nov 2006 . BY
The new observation wheel at Sea World on Australia’s Gold Coast, the 60m-high Sea World Eye, is set to open next month.

The eye boasts 42 air-conditioned capsules each holding up to six people and offering audio commentary. Entry is included in the park’s normal admission price.

There is also one VIP capsule featuring a plasma TV, DVD player, fridge and leather interior for hire.

“We are thrilled to offer Australia’s first giant observation wheel for the exclusive enjoyment of guests visiting Sea World over the Christmas holiday season,” said John Menzies, CEO of Warner Village Theme Parks, which owns Sea World.

“It will prove a fantastic and unique experience to complement the many other wonderful attractions, exhibits and events for all ages to explore and enjoy.”

The wheel was manufactured by Swiss company Ronald Bussink Professional Rides.
