Six Senses to open Qatari souq-style spa
POSTED 29 Nov 2006 . BY Sarah Todd
Six Senses is to open a new spa at Sharq Village & Spa in Doha, Qatar.

Covering 70,000sq ft (6,500sq m), the spa will be designed to resemble a traditional Qatari souq and will form the centrepiece of the new waterfront resort, which is intended to resemble a Bedouin desert village.

The spa will have 23 treatment rooms with facilities including saunas, steamrooms, spa pools, plunge pools, changing rooms, a fully equipped fitness club and dedicated areas for yoga, meditation, tai chi and relaxation alongside prayer rooms.

Women will also have a separate, private entrance to the spa and a number of private facilities.

Signature Six Senses treatments will be on offer, including Swedish, Thai, Balinese and aroma massages alongside other treatments such as crystal therapy, mud baths, body scrubs and polishes.

The Sharq Village and Spa will be managed by Ritz-Carlton Hotels.
