Plans for US$600m attraction in Missouri
POSTED 15 Jan 2007 . BY Tom Walker
A new 308-acre development, including themed attractions, an indoor waterpark and an aquarium, is set to open in Branson, Missouri, US, during 2008.

According to plans announced by developer Cushman Properties, the US$600m (464m euro, £305m) project, called Pinnacle Falls, would include a US$50m (39m euro, £25m) aquarium and a 300-room hotel housing an indoor waterpark.

Other features of the entertainment district would include a rushing river through the centre of the development, interactive fountains and a giant clock tower.

David Cushman, chief executive of Cushman Properties, said the new destination attraction would attract around 400,000 people a year.

“The first phase of the project will cost around US$250m (193m euro, £127m) and would include an aquarium,” he said. www.cushmanproperties.com
