Maria Miller, the secretary of state for Culture, Media and Sport has reappointed Clare Connor, Hanif Malik and Peter Rowley for a second, one-year term as members of the Sport England board.

Connor, a former England cricket team captain, is currently head of England Women’s Cricket at the England & Wales Cricket Board and in 2008 became the first female member to sit on the International Cricket Council’s Cricket Committee.

Malik is the CEO of the Hamara Healthy Living Centre in Leeds and is a strong advocate for the third sector to provide individuals and community organisations opportunities to play more sport and achieve excellence.

Rowley currently holds the role of regional champion for community sport in the North East and holds a portfolio of non-executive appointments in community, public and private organisations.

The trio’s terms will run from 6 September 2013 to 7 September 2014.
