Two spas have opened in China with products provided exclusively by
L'Occitane – the Linka Spa at the Shangri-La MGallery-branded Songtsam Retreat in Yunnan and the Emperor Spa at the Emperor Hotel Qianmen in Beijing.
The Linka Spa features five cabins. Three of these cabins are for couples and each of these has a traditional Tibetan bathtub. Operated in-house, this spa uses
L'Occitane products in addition to local ingredients such as yak butter and Tibetan herbs. The signature treatment at this spa is the Tibetan Butter massage.
The 450sq m (4,844sq ft) Emperor Spa comprises three cabins and two Vichy shower rooms. There is also a large pool with a waterfall included in the spa’s design. Treatments include facials, massages, body treatments and a signature foot ritual, plus the Lavender Ultimate Spa Indulgence, which includes a lavender-scented bath, massage and hand treatment.
