Sarah Watts and Paul Cluett have taken principal ownership of Alliance Leisure Services, with Watts in place as CEO and Cluett to be managing director.

Established in 1999 by Watts, Alliance Leisure has partnered with numerous local authorities and leisure trusts to bring projects to fruition.

“It’s been an incredible 16 years building the business and team we see today, but 2015 presents a new chapter in the company’s ownership,” said Watts, who was previously managing director of the business.

“We have worked hard to establish strong relationships with our clients and we look forward to developing new sites and pushing the boundaries for the next generation of leisure facilities.”

The team design and build innovative sport and leisure facilities, working in partnership with local councils to replace ageing and costly leisure facilities with modern, revenue generating sites. Over the past 16 years, the company has carried out more than 100 developments and invested more than £100m into the UK leisure market.

“We’ve established a strong team here at Alliance Leisure and the future certainly looks very exciting with framework agreements in place with South Gloucestershire, Denbighshire and Inverclyde Leisure,” added Cluett, who was previously commercial director.

“Our goal is to work in partnership with our clients to build high quality, revenue generating sport and leisure facilities across the country. Furthermore, it’s our role to support these leisure centres to deliver first class services to encourage their local communities to become more active, more often.”
