The new precinct will act as a hub for Nickelodeon character appearances and shows, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Sea World Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia, is teaming up with Nickelodeon to bring the brand’s IPs to a new multi-million dollar kids and family area at the theme park.

Set to open in late 2015, Nickelodeon Land will include four child-friendly rides including SeaWorld’s first ever mini rollercoaster. Nickelodeon and Sea World Gold Coast share a pre-existing relationship at the park, which includes a Dora Live Show, Nickelodeon character appearances and a Nick retail store.

The new precinct will act as a hub for Nickelodeon character appearances and shows, including SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer and Boots.

This will be Nickelodeon’s second major launch in conjunction with park operator Village Roadshow Theme Parks in the past two years, having previously launched Nickelodeon Beach at Wet’n’Wild Sydney.

“Nickelodeon Land is an exciting opportunity to expand our family entertainment offering at Sea World and overall recreation business in Australia,” said Gerald Raines,” senior vice president for Global Nickelodeon Recreation Partnerships. “It is an attraction that will provide an all-encompassing Nickelodeon experience that the entire family can engage in and enjoy.”
