The Leadership Breakfast keynote address from Abba’s Bjorn Ulvaeus was the highlight of the event
The first ever Euro Attractions Show to be held in Scandinavia has been hailed a success after 7,000 visitors attended the three-day conference and trade show in Gothenburg, Sweden.

With attendees coming from 96 different countries – 30 per cent from Scandinavia and a large number from Eastern Europe – 408 companies exhibited their newest products for rides, attractions, ticketing and entry systems, 3-D films, games, and more on the 10,500sq m (113,021sq ft) trade show floor, the second largest in the history of EAS.

According to show representatives, there was a trend this year for showcasing interactivity, with attractions combining several new technologies to create elements such as slides combined with games and VR glasses designed specifically for use on a rollercoaster.

The Leadership Breakfast keynote address from Abba’s Bjorn Ulvaeus was the highlight of the event, with his talk on intellectual property received warmly by a capacity audience. It was also announced at the event that next year’s EAS will be held in Spain, taking place at the the Fira Barcelona Gran Via Convention Center between 20-22 September 2016.
