The Good Spa Guide names UK’s best spas

Winners for the UK’s Best Spas were announced on Tuesday at a gala dinner at SpaLife UK, a regional industry event that took place this year in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The awards included eight national and eight regional awards, highlighting the best of spa in the UK. Regional awards included more than 50,000 public votes, while the national awards were decided upon by specially appointed Good Spa Spies, who review more than 100 spas each year and complete a detailed audit.

“The standards this year were incredibly high and I want to congratulate everyone involved,” said Daphne Metland, founder of The Good Spa Guide. “We are lucky to have some fantastic spas in the UK, and all of our winners and finalists deserve recognition for their dedication to providing the highest possible spa experience for their guests.”

Award winners include:

Best spa for sheer luxury: Penny Hill Park, Surrey
Best spa for romance: Carbis Bay Hotel and Spa, Cornwall
Best spa for serenity: Weaver’s House Spa at The Swan at Lavenham, Suffolk
Best real results: Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa, The Lake District
Best spa for celebrations: Utopia Spa at Alexander House, West Sussex
Best spa for Waterbabies: Galgorm Resort and Spa, Northern Ireland
Best spa for sociable spa-ing: Eden Hall Day Spa, Nottinghamshire
Above and beyond: Stanley House Hotel and Spa, Lancashire

Regional award winners include:

Best London spa: K Spa at K West
Best spa in the South East: SenSpa at Carey’s Manor
Best spa in the South West: Spa Sirene
Best spa in the North: The Woodland Spa
Best spa in Northern Ireland: The Spa at Roe Park
Best Spa in Scotland: Stobo Castle Health Spa
Best spa in Wales: The Kinmel and KinSpa
Best spa in the Midlands and East: The Day Spa at Whittlebury Hall

The Good Spa Guide names UK’s best spas

Winners for the UK’s Best Spas were announced on Tuesday at a gala dinner at SpaLife UK, a regional industry event that took place this year in Stratford-upon-Avon.

The awards included eight national and eight regional awards, highlighting the best of spa in the UK. Regional awards included more than 50,000 public votes, while the national awards were decided upon by specially appointed Good Spa Spies, who review more than 100 spas each year and complete a detailed audit.
