to measure the impact urbanisation has on quality of life. It was also a big week for museum news. Herzog and de Meuron’s long-awaited expansion to London’s Tate Modern
opened to the public, a milestone was reached in the building of
Jean Nouvel’s Louvre Abu Dhabi, David Adjaye won a contract to design
the Latvia Museum of Contemporary Art, and Tadao Ando told
CLAD about his plans for a new art museum in Paris. Paris also made the headlines for its ongoing bid to win the 2024 Olympic Games, as the bid team
announced its plans to build a 15,000-capacity aquatics centre if the city’s application is successful.In other sports architecture developments, details emerged of
